3 So Israel (he wrestles with God) (lord of the gap) joined in worshiping Baal of Peor, and the anger of the LORD {YHWH} burned against them. 4 Then the LORD {YHWH} said to Moses (drawn out), “Take all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that His fierce anger may turn away from Israel (he wrestles with God).” 5 So Moses (drawn out) told the judges of Israel (he wrestles with God), “Each of you must kill all of his men who have joined in worshiping Baal of Peor (lord of the gap).” Numbers 25:3-5, Berean Annotated Bible.
