7 You are the LORD, the God {YHWH Elohim} who chose Abram (exalted father), who brought him out of Ur (flame) of the Chaldeans (clod-breakers) and gave him the name Abraham (father of many). 8 You found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites (merchants) and Hittites, of the Amorites (sayers) and Perizzites (villagers), of the Jebusites (Jerusalemites) and Girgashites (dwelling on clay)—to give it to his descendants.
