And of the priests: The sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai (who took of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite a wife, and was called by their name).

These sought their listing among those who were registered by genealogy, but it was not found, and they were defiled from the priesthood.

And the Tirshatha said to them that they should not eat from the holy of holies until the priest stood for Urim and Thummim.

All the assembly was as one—four myriads two thousand three hundred and sixty,

besides their menservants and maidservants, these seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven, and to them were singers and songstresses, two hundred and forty-five.

Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;

their camels, four hundred thirty-five, and donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

And some from the extremity of the heads of the fathers gave to the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasury a thousand gold darics, fifty bowls, and thirty and five hundred priestly garments.

And of the heads of the fathers they gave to the treasury of the work two myriads of gold darics, and two thousand and two hundred silver minas.

That which the rest of the people gave was two myriads of gold darics, and two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priestly garments.

And they dwelt—the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel—in their cities. And the seventh month arrived, and the sons of Israel were in their cities.
