Nehemiah 7:1-3 ▼

1 And it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had hung the doors, and the gatekeepers had been appointed, and the singers, and the Levites,

2 that I gave the charge to Hanani my brother and Hananiah the leader of the citadel of Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man and he feared God above many.

3 And I said to them, “Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot. And while they are standing by, let them shut the doors, and fasten, and appoint guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each man at his station and a man in front of his house.”
