22 Pilate says to them, “What then should I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all say, “Let Him be crucified!”

23 And he said, “For what evil did He commit?” And they kept crying out all the more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!”

24 And Pilate, having seen that it availed nothing, but rather a riot is arising, having taken water, he washed the hands before the crowd, saying, “I am guiltless of the blood of this man. For yourselves you? will see.”

25 And answering, all the people, said, “His blood be on us and on our children!”

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. And having flogged Jesus, He delivered Him up so that He might be crucified.
