1 AND he went out thence, and came into his native country; and his disciples followed him. 2 And when the sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many when they heard him were amazed, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and what is the wisdom given to him, that even such miracles are done by his hands? 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, and Judah and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. 4 Then said Jesus unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his native place, and among his relations, and in his own family.
