16 So Joshua (YHWH saves) arose early the next morning and had Israel (he wrestles with God) come forward tribe by tribe, and the tribe of Judah (praised) was selected. 17 He had the clans of Judah (praised) come forward, and the clan of the Zerahites was selected. He had the clan of the Zerahites come forward, and the family of Zabdi (endowment) was selected. 18 And he had the family of Zabdi come forward man by man, and Achan (troubler) son of Carmi (my vineyard), the son of Zabdi (endowment), the son of Zerah (rising), of the tribe of Judah (praised), was selected. 19 So Joshua (YHWH saves) said to Achan (troubler), “My son, give glory to the LORD, the God {YHWH Elohe} of Israel (he wrestles with God), and make a confession to Him.
