2 So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and half of barley; 3 And I said to her, You shall dwell as my wife for many days; you shall not play the harlot, and you shall not be for other men; so will I also be for you. 4 For the children of Israel shall dwell many days without a king and without a ruler and without a sacrifice and without an altar, and without the one who wears an ephod and burns incense. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king; and they shall know the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
