1 And Joseph had been taken down to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guards, an Egyptian man, bought him from the hand of the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. 2 And YHWH was with Joseph, and he was a successful man, and he was in the house of his lord the Egyptian. 3 And his lord saw that YHWH was with him, and all that he was doing, YHWH was making successful in his hand.
