40 These are the names of Esau’s (hairy) chiefs, according to their families and regions, by their names: Chiefs Timna (restrained), Alvah (evil), Jetheth (a nail), 41 Oholibamah (tent of the high place), Elah (An oak), Pinon (darkness), 42 Kenaz (hunter), Teman (south), Mibzar (fortress), 43 Magdiel (prince of God), and Iram (belonging to a city).
