2 And Jacob will say to his house, and to all which are with him, Put away the strange gods which are among you, and be cleansed and change your garments. 3 And we will arise and go to the house of God; and I will make there an altar to God, having answered me in the day of my distress; and he will be with me in the way which I go. 4 And they will give to Jacob all the strange gods which are in their hand and the earrings which are in their ears, and Jacob will hide them under the turpentine tree which is in Shechem.
