9 Then the inhabitants of the villages of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the spears, the bows and the arrows and the hand-staves and the lances, and they shall burn them as fuel for seven years; 10 So that they shall not need wood for fuel out of the field or the forest: for they shall burn the weapons with fire, and they shall take captive those who had taken them captive and plunder those who had plundered them, says the LORD God.
