4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four tetrads of soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the passover. 5 Therefore, Peter was kept in prison; but fervent prayer to God was made for him by the church. 6 When Herod was about to bring him out, on that night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and the keepers before the doors were guarding the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison.
