1 Now Joab (YHWH is father) son of Zeruiah (balsam) perceived that the king’s heart longed for Absalom (my father is peace). 2 So Joab (YHWH is father) sent to Tekoa (a stockade) to bring a wise woman from there. He told her, “Please pretend to be a mourner; put on clothes for mourning and do not anoint yourself with oil.
