1 And Jehoshaphat (YHWH has judged) rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David (beloved). And his son Jehoram (YHWH is exalted) reigned in his place. 2 Jehoram’s brothers, the sons of Jehoshaphat (YHWH has judged), were Azariah (YHWH has helped), Jehiel (God lives), Zechariah (YHWH remembers), Azariah, Michael (who is like God), and Shephatiah; these were all sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel (Judah). 3 Their father had given them many gifts of silver and gold and precious things, as well as the fortified cities in Judah (praised); but he gave the kingdom to Jehoram (YHWH is exalted) because he was the firstborn. 2 Chronicles 21:1-3, Berean Annotated Bible.
