16 The sons of Levi (joined to): Gershom (Gershon), Kohath (assembly), and Merari (bitter). 17 These are the names of the sons of Gershom (foreigner): Libni (white) and Shimei (renowned). 18 The sons of Kohath (assembly): Amram (exalted people), Izhar (shining oil), Hebron (association), and Uzziel (my strength is God). 19 The sons of Merari (bitter): Mahli (sick) and Mushi (yielding).
