18 And as soon as three men heard it, they broke through the camp of the Philistines, and went and drew water out of the cistern of Bethlehem that was by the gate of the city, and took it and brought it to David; but David would not drink of it, but poured it out in the presence of the LORD, 19 And said, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing in the presence of my God; for these men went forth with the jeopardy of their lives.
