34 For jealousy enrages a man, And he will not spare in the day of vengeance. For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge. For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.
35 He will not accept any ransom, Nor will he be satisfied though you give many gifts. He will accept no compensation; he will refuse though you multiply gifts. He will not accept any compensation; he will refuse a bribe, however great it is.
