Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler, Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,
Prepares her food in the summer And gathers her provision in the harvest. she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest. yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?
“A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest”— A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—
Your poverty will come in like a vagabond And your want like an armed man. and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man. and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
