It has no commander, officer, or ruler, Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,
but prepares its provisions in the summer and gathers its food in the harvest. she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest. yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie down, lazy man? When will you get up from your sleep? How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—
and your poverty will come on you like a bandit and your desperation like an armed man. and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man. and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
