My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart guard my precepts. My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
For they shall set before you length of days, and years of life, and peace. for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
Let not mercy and truth abandon you: encircle them around your throat, and inscribe them on the tablets of your heart. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
And so shall you discover grace and good discipline, in the sight of God and men. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Have confidence in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend upon your own prudence. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways, consider him, and he himself will direct your steps. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
