Well is hym that findeth wysdome, and getteth vnderstandyng: Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
For the marchaundise of it, is better then the marchaundise of siluer, and the gayne therof is better then golde. for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.
She is more worth then pretious stones: and all the thinges that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
In her right hande is long life, and in her left hande riches and honour. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
Her wayes are pleasaunt wayes, and all her pathes are peaceable. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of lyfe to them that lay holde vpon her: and blessed is he that kepeth her fast. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.
