| 16 | That thou mayest be deliuered also from the straunge woman, and from her that is not thine owne, which geueth sweete wordes, | So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words, | Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words, | |
| 17 | Forsaketh the husbande of her youth, & forgetteth the couenaunt of her God. | who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; | who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. | |
| 18 | For her house is enclined vnto death, and her pathes vnto hell. | for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the departed; | Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. | |
| 19 | All they that go in vnto her, come not agayne, neither take they holde of the way of lyfe. | none who go to her come back, nor do they regain the paths of life. | None who go to her return or attain the paths of life. | |
