1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother. The proverbs of Solomon. 5 He who gathers in summer is a son who acts insightfully, But he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully. He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame. He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
