4 Lazy hands bring poverty, but hard-working hands lead to wealth. A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
5 Whoever harvests during summer acts wisely, but the son who sleeps during harvest is disgraceful. He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame. He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
