28	אֶ֚פֶס כִּֽי־ עַ֣ז הָעָ֔ם הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב בָּאָ֑רֶץ וְהֶֽעָרִ֗ים בְּצֻר֤וֹת גְּדֹלֹת֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְגַם־ יְלִדֵ֥י הָֽעֲנָ֖ק רָאִ֥ינוּ שָֽׁם׃	However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. And besides, we saw the descendants of Anak there.	But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there.
29	עֲמָלֵ֥ק יוֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּאֶ֣רֶץ הַנֶּ֑גֶב וְ֠הַֽחִתִּי וְהַיְבוּסִ֤י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בָּהָ֔ר וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב עַל־ הַיָּ֔ם וְעַ֖ל יַ֥ד הַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃	The Amalekites dwell in the land of the Negeb. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan.”	The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”
30	וַיַּ֧הַס כָּלֵ֛ב אֶת־ הָעָ֖ם אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר עָלֹ֤ה נַעֲלֶה֙ וְיָרַ֣שְׁנוּ אֹתָ֔הּ כִּֽי־ יָכ֥וֹל נוּכַ֖ל לָֽהּ׃	But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”	Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
31	וְהָ֨אֲנָשִׁ֜ים אֲשֶׁר־ עָל֤וּ עִמּוֹ֙ אָֽמְר֔וּ לֹ֥א נוּכַ֖ל לַעֲל֣וֹת אֶל־ הָעָ֑ם כִּֽי־ חָזָ֥ק ה֖וּא מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃	Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.”	But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.”
32	וַיּוֹצִ֜יאוּ דִּבַּ֤ת הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תָּר֣וּ אֹתָ֔הּ אֶל־ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֑ר הָאָ֡רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֩ עָבַ֨רְנוּ בָ֜הּ לָת֣וּר אֹתָ֗הּ אֶ֣רֶץ אֹכֶ֤לֶת יוֹשְׁבֶ֙יהָ֙ הִ֔וא וְכָל־ הָעָ֛ם אֲשֶׁר־ רָאִ֥ינוּ בְתוֹכָ֖הּ אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִדּֽוֹת׃	So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height.	And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
33	וְשָׁ֣ם רָאִ֗ינוּ אֶת־ הַנְּפִילִ֛ים בְּנֵ֥י עֲנָ֖ק מִן־ הַנְּפִלִ֑ים וַנְּהִ֤י בְעֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ כַּֽחֲגָבִ֔ים וְכֵ֥ן הָיִ֖ינוּ בְּעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃	And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”	We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”
