| 8 | Many people in the crowd spread their own coats on the road, while others began cutting down branches from the trees and spreading them on the road. | Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. | A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. | |
| 9 | Both the crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed him kept shouting, |Hosanna to the Son of David! How blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!| | And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” | The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” | |
