|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | And they come to Him, bringing a paralytic, carried by four, | And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. | Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. | |
| 4 | and not being able to come near to Him because of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where He was, and having broken [it] up, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying, | And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. | Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. | |
