|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | Then they came, bringing to Him a paralyzed man, who was being carried by four men. | And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. | Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. | |
| 4 | When they were unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Jesus; and when they had dug out an opening, they let down the mat on which the paralyzed man was lying. | And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. | Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. | |
