41 כֹּ֚ל עָרֵ֣י הַלְוִיִּ֔ם בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת בְּנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עָרִ֛ים אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנֶ֖ה וּמִגְרְשֵׁיהֶֽן׃ The cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the people of Israel were in all forty-eight cities with their pasturelands. The towns of the Levites in the territory held by the Israelites were forty-eight in all, together with their pasturelands.
42 תִּֽהְיֶ֙ינָה֙ הֶעָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה עִ֣יר עִ֔יר וּמִגְרָשֶׁ֖יהָ סְבִיבֹתֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֖ן לְכָל־ הֶעָרִ֥ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ ס These cities each had its pasturelands around it. So it was with all these cities. Each of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it; this was true for all these towns.
