| 2 | And YHWH is with Joseph, and he is a prosperous man, and he is in the house of his lord the Egyptian, | The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. | The LORD was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. | |
| 3 | and his lord sees that YHWH is with him, and all that he is doing YHWH is causing to prosper in his hand, | His master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. | When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, | |
| 4 | and Joseph finds grace in his eyes and serves him, and he appoints him over his house, and all that he has he has given into his hand. | So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had. | Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. | |
