3	the word of the LORD came directly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Kebar. 4	I looked and saw a whirlwind coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing back and forth and brilliant light all around it. In the center of the fire was a gleam like amber,	As I looked, behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, and a great cloud, with brightness around it, and fire flashing forth continually, and in the midst of the fire, as it were gleaming metal.	And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness <i>was</i> about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.	As I looked, behold, a high wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing intermittently and a bright light around it, and in its midst <i>something</i> like gleaming metal in the midst of the fire.	I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,
5	and within it was the form of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had a human form,	And from the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had a human likeness,	Also out of the midst thereof <i>came</i> the likeness of four living creatures. And this <i>was</i> their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.	And within it there were figures resembling four living beings. 11	Such were their faces. Their wings were spread upward; each had two wings touching the wings of the creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.	Such were their faces. And their wings were spread out above. Each creature had two wings, each of which touched the wing of another, while two covered their bodies.	Thus <i>were</i> their faces: and their wings <i>were</i> stretched upward; two <i>wings</i> of every one <i>were</i> joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.	Such were their faces. 13	In the midst of the living creatures was the appearance of glowing coals of fire, or of torches. Fire moved back and forth between the living creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.	As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches moving to and fro among the living creatures. And the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.	As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance <i>was</i> like burning coals of fire, <i>and</i> like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.	In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches moving among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire.	The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.
14	The creatures were darting back and forth as quickly as flashes of lightning.	And the living creatures darted to and fro, like the appearance of a flash of lightning.	And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.	And the living beings ran back and forth like bolts of lightning.	The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.
15	When I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.	Now as I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, one for each of the four of them.	Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.	Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the ground beside the living beings, for each of the four of them.	As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.
16	The workmanship of the wheels looked like the gleam of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. Their workmanship looked like a wheel within a wheel.	As for the appearance of the wheels and their construction: their appearance was like the gleaming of beryl. And the four had the same likeness, their appearance and construction being as it were a wheel within a wheel.	The appearance of the wheels and their work <i>was</i> like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work <i>was</i> as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.	The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship <i>was</i> like sparkling topaz, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship <i>being</i> as if one wheel were within another.	This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.
17	As they moved, they went in any of the four directions, without pivoting as they moved.	When they went, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went.	When they went, they went upon their four sides: <i>and</i> they turned not when they went.	Whenever they moved, they moved in <i>any</i> of their four directions without turning as they moved.	As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went.
18	Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.	And their rims were tall and awesome, and the rims of all four were full of eyes all around.	As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings <i>were</i> full of eyes round about them four.	As for their rims, they were high and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were covered with eyes all around.	Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
19	So as the living creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them, and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.	And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures rose from the earth, the wheels rose.	And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.	Whenever the living beings moved, the wheels moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose <i>also.</i>	When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
20	Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise alongside them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.	Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, and the wheels rose along with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.	Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither <i>was their</i> spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature <i>was</i> in the wheels.	Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction. And the wheels rose just as they <i>did;</i> for the spirit of the living beings <i>was</i> in the wheels.	Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21	When the creatures moved, the wheels moved; when the creatures stood still, the wheels stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose alongside them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.	When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those rose from the earth, the wheels rose along with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.	When those went, <i>these</i> went; and when those stood, <i>these</i> stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature <i>was</i> in the wheels.	Whenever those went, they went; and whenever those stopped, they stopped. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose just as they <i>did;</i> for the spirit of the living beings <i>was</i> in the wheels.	When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22	Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of an awesome expanse, gleaming like crystal.	Over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring crystal, spread out above their heads.	And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature <i>was</i> as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.	Now over the heads of the living beings <i>there was</i> something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads.	Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome.
23	And under the expanse, their wings stretched out toward one another. Each one also had two wings covering its body.	And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward another. And each creature had two wings covering its body.	And under the firmament <i>were</i> their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.	Under the expanse their wings <i>were stretched out</i> straight, one toward the other; each one also had two <i>wings</i> covering its body on the one side and on the other.	Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.
24	When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the roar of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.	And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings like the sound of many waters, like the sound of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings.	And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.	And I also heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of a crowd like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stopped, they let down their wings.	When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
25	And there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood still with their wings lowered.	And there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads. When they stood still, they let down their wings.	And there was a voice from the firmament that <i>was</i> over their heads, when they stood, <i>and</i> had let down their wings.	And a voice came from above the expanse that was over their heads; whenever they stood still, they let down their wings.	Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.
26	Above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne with the appearance of sapphire, and on the throne high above was a figure like that of a man.	And above the expanse over their heads there was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and seated above the likeness of a throne was a likeness with a human appearance.	And above the firmament that <i>was</i> over their heads <i>was</i> the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne <i>was</i> the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.	Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, <i>was</i> a figure with the appearance of a man.	Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.
27	From what seemed to be His waist up, I saw a gleam like amber, with what looked like fire within it all around. And from what seemed to be His waist down, I saw what looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded Him.	And upward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were gleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.	And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.	Then I noticed from the appearance of His waist and upward <i>something</i> like gleaming metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw something like fire; and <i>there was</i> a radiance around Him.	I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.
28	The appearance of the brilliant light all around Him was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.	Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.	As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so <i>was</i> the appearance of the brightness round about. This <i>was</i> the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw <i>it</i>, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.	Like the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so <i>was</i> the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such <i>was</i> the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw <i>it,</i> I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.	Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
