| 6 | וְכֹ֗ל זִקְנֵי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַהִ֔וא הַקְּרֹבִ֖ים אֶל־ הֶחָלָ֑ל יִרְחֲצוּ֙ אֶת־ יְדֵיהֶ֔ם עַל־ הָעֶגְלָ֖ה הָעֲרוּפָ֥ה בַנָּֽחַל׃ | And all the elders of that city nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley, | Then all the elders of the town nearest the body shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley, | |
| 7 | וְעָנ֖וּ וְאָמְר֑וּ יָדֵ֗ינוּ לֹ֤א [שפכה] (שָֽׁפְכוּ֙) אֶת־ הַדָּ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְעֵינֵ֖ינוּ לֹ֥א רָאֽוּ׃ | and they shall testify, ‘Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it shed. | and they shall declare: “Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it done. | |
