The Man of Sin

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters,1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers,1Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him: We ask you, brothers,
not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us--whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter--asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.2not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.2that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.2not to be easily upset in mind or troubled, either by a spirit or by a message or by a letter as if from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord has come.
Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.3Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,3Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;3Don't let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.
He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.4who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.4who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.4He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God's sanctuary, publicizing that he himself is God.

Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?5Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?5Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?5Don't you remember that when I was still with you I told you about this?
And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.6And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time.6And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.6And you know what currently restrains him, so that he will be revealed in his time.
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one now restraining will do so until he is out of the way,
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.8Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:8and then the lawless one will be revealed. The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and will bring him to nothing with the brightness of His coming.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,9The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,9that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,9The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan's working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,

and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.10and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.10and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.10and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie11Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,11For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:11For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,
and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.12in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.12in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.12so that all will be condemned--those who did not believe the truth but enjoyed unrighteousness.

encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.17comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.17comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.17Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.17encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good work and word.
