Since many in the crowd had not consecrated themselves, the Levites had to kill the Passover lambs for all those who were not ceremonially clean and could not consecrate their lambs to the LORD.

Since many of the people had not purified themselves, the Levites had to slaughter their Passover lamb for them, to set them apart for the LORD.

Kako ih bijaše mnogo u zboru koji se nisu posvetili, leviti su klali pashalne jaganjce za sve koji nisu bili čisti, da bi ih posvetili Jahvi.

Siccome ve n’erano molti, nella raunanza, che non s’erano santificati, i Leviti aveano l’incarico d’immolare gli agnelli pasquali, consacrandoli all’Eterno, per tutti quelli che non eran puri.

Porquanto ainda havia muitos na comunidade que não tinham se santificado; então os levitas tiveram que sacrificar os cordeiros da Páscoa em lugar e favor de quem não estava purificado, isto é, cerimonialmente limpo e que, por esse motivo, não podia consagrar o seu cordeiro pascal ao SENHOR.

Pois havia muitos na congregação que não se tinham santificado; pelo que os levitas tiveram que imolar os cordeiros da páscoa por todo aquele que não estava limpo, para o santificarem ao Senhor.
