To The Chief Musician Upon Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah 1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of armies! 2 Long, yea, even faint doth my soul after the courts of Jehovah: My heart and my flesh leap for joy towards the living God. 3 Also the sparrow hath found a house for herself, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may place her young ones: O thine altars! thou Jehovah of armies! my King and my God! 4 Blessed are those who dwell in thy house: Continually they will be praising thee. Selah. 5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; The ways [are] in their heart. 6 They passing through the valley of weeping, will together make it a fountain; Also the cisterns the rain will cover. 7 They will journey from strength to strength; Seen will be the God of gods in Zion. 8 O Jehovah, God of armies! hear my prayer: Hearken, O God of Jacob! Selah. 9 Our shield do thou behold, O God! And look upon the face of thy Christ. 10 For better is one day in thy courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than dwell in the tents of ungodliness. 11 For a sun and shield is Jehovah God to us; Grace and glory give will Jehovah; He will not withhold any good from those who walk uprightly. 12 O Jehovah of armies! Blessed is the man who confideth in thee. |
