Romans 12

Living Sacrifices to God

I beseech youp therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that youp present yourp bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is yourp reasonable service.   beg; offer

And be not conformed to this world: but be youp transformed by the renewing of yourp mind, that youp may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among youp, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.   ECC 7:16

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:   parts of a body

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching;

Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Behave Like a Christian

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cling to that which is good.   ISA 1:16 | hypocrisy

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;   lazy

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;   affliction, trouble; steadfast

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.   giving what is needed; those who are set apart/devoted to God, believers

Bless them which persecute youp: bless, and curse not.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in yourp own conceits.   thoughts, opinions

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.   PROV 20:22 | repay

If it be possible, as much as lies in youp, live peaceably with all men.   it depends on

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselvesp, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.   DEU 32:35 | opportunity for God’s wrath

Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.   PROV 25:22; 2 KGS 6:22

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
