The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?   foreign nations

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying,   ACTS 4:25, 27 | gathered and conspired against David/God

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.   apart

4He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.   Adonai^p.f.; under ridicule

5Then shall He speak to them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.   frighten; great

6Yet have I set My king upon My holy hill of Zion.   REV 14:1

7I will declare the decree: the Lord has said to me, You are My Son; this day have I begotten You.   HEB 5:5; MATT 3:17; MATT 17:5; ACTS 13:33; HEB 1:5

8Ask of Me, and I shall give You the heathen for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

9You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.   REV 2:27

10Be wise now therefore, O you^p kings: be instructed, you^p judges of the earth.

11Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.   reverence

12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you^p perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.
