Psalm 2
KJV Easy Read Bible

The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?   foreign nations

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying,   ACTS 4:25, 27 | gathered and conspired against David/God

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.   apart

He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.   Adonaip.f.; under ridicule

Then shall He speak to them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.   frighten; great

Yet have I set My king upon My holy hill of Zion.   REV 14:1

I will declare the decree: the Lord has said to me, You are My Son; this day have I begotten You.   HEB 5:5; MATT 3:17; MATT 17:5; ACTS 13:33; HEB 1:5

Ask of Me, and I shall give You the heathen for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.   REV 2:27

Be wise now therefore, O youp kings: be instructed, youp judges of the earth.

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.   reverence

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and youp perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.
