Promise of Blessing and Retribution

1You^p shall make you^p no idols nor graven image, neither rear you^p up a standing image, neither shall you^p set up any image of stone in your^p land, to bow down to it: for I am the Lord your^p God.   raise

2You^p shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.

3If you^p walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments, and do them;

4Then I will give you^p rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5And your^p threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time: and you^p shall eat your^p bread to the full, and dwell in your^p land safely.   grape harvest

6And I will give peace in the land, and you^p shall lie down, and none shall make you^p afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your^p land.

7And you^p shall chase your^p enemies, and they shall fall before you^p by the sword.

8And five of you^p shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you^p shall put ten thousand to flight: and your^p enemies shall fall before you^p by the sword.

9For I will have respect to you^p, and make you^p fruitful, and multiply you^p, and establish My covenant with you^p.   agreement

10And you^p shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.   supply

11And I will set My tabernacle among you^p: and My soul shall not abhor you^p.

12And I will walk among you^p, and will be your^p God, and you^p shall be My people.   2 COR 6:12; 2 COR 6:16

13I am the Lord your^p God, which brought you^p forth out of the land of Egypt, that you^p should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your^p yoke, and made you^p go upright.   free

14But if you^p will not hearken to Me, and will not do all these commandments;   listen

15And if you^p shall despise My statutes, or if your^p soul abhor My judgments, so that you^p will not do all My commandments, but that you^p break My covenant:   rulings

16I also will do this to you^p; I will even appoint over you^p terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and you^p shall sow your^p seed in vain, for your^p enemies shall eat it.   wasting diseases; fever

17And I will set my face against you^p, and you^p shall be slain before your^p enemies: they that hate you^p shall reign over you^p; and you^p shall flee when none pursue you^p.

18And if you^p will not yet for all this hearken to Me, then I will punish you^p seven times more for your^p sins.

19And I will break the pride of your^p power; and I will make your^p heaven as iron, and your^p earth as brass:

20And your^p strength shall be spent in vain: for your^p land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

21And if you^p walk contrary to Me, and will not hearken to Me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you^p according to your^p sins.   REV 15:1

22I will also send wild beasts among you^p, which shall rob you^p of your^p children, and destroy your^p cattle, and make you^p few in number; and your^p high ways shall be desolate.

23And if you^p will not be reformed by Me by these things, but will walk contrary to Me;

24Then will I also walk contrary to you^p, and will punish you^p yet seven times for your^p sins.

25And I will bring a sword upon you^p, that shall avenge the quarrel of My covenant: and when you^p are gathered together inside your^p cities, I will send the pestilence among you^p: and you^p shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26And when I have broken the staff of your^p bread, ten women shall bake your^p bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you^p your^p bread again by weight: and you^p shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27And if you^p will not for all this hearken to Me, but walk contrary to Me;

28Then I will walk contrary to you^p also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you^p seven times for your^p sins.

29And you^p shall eat the flesh of your^p sons, and the flesh of your^p daughters shall you^p eat.

30And I will destroy your^p high places, and cut down your^p images, and cast your^p carcasses upon the carcasses of your^p idols, and My soul shall abhor you^p.

31And I will make your^p cities waste, and bring your^p sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your^p sweet odors.   aroma

32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your^p enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

33And I will scatter you^p among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you^p: and your^p land shall be desolate, and your^p cities waste.

34Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lies desolate, and you^p be in your^p enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

35As long as it lies desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your^p sabbaths, when you^p dwelt upon it.

36And upon them that are left alive of you^p I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursues.

37And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursues: and you^p shall have no power to stand before your^p enemies.

38And you^p shall perish among the heathen, and the land of you^p enemies shall eat you^p up.

39And they that are left of you^p shall pine away in their iniquity in your^p enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.   waste

40If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against Me, and that also they have walked contrary to Me;   2 CHRON 7:14

41And that I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

42Then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lies desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised My judgments, and because their soul abhorred My statutes.

44And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God.

45But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.

46These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the Lord made between Him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
