1Let brotherly love continue.

2Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.   GEN 18:2 | receive; received; without knowing

3Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselvesp also in the body.   prison; trouble

4Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.   kept pure; fornicators

5Let yourp conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as youp have: for He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.   JOS 1:5; DEU 31:6; DEU 31:8 | manner of life

6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.   PS 118:6

Concluding Religious Directions

7Remember them which have the rule over youp, who have spoken to youp the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.   result

8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.   various; teachings; benefitted

10We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.   tent of meeting

11For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.   LEV 16:27

12Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

13Let us go forth therefore to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.   disgrace

14For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

15By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.   LEV 7:12 | praise

16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.   share with others

17Obey them that have the rule over youp, and submit yourselvesp: for they watch for yourp souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for youp.   leadership, authority

Prayer Requested

18Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.   desiring

19But I beseech youp the rather to do this, that I may be restored to youp the sooner.   beg

Benediction, Final Exhortation, Farewell

20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,   ISA 63:11 | agreement

21Make youp perfect in every good work to do His will, working in youp that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

22And I beseech youp, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter to youp in few words.   permit; encouragement

23Know youp that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see youp.

24Salute all them that have the rule over youp, and all the saints. They of Italy salute youp.   greet

25Grace be with youp all. Amen.
