KJV Easy Read Bible

Plea for Purity

Furthermore then we beseech youp, brethren, and exhort youp by the Lord Jesus, that as youp have received of us how youp ought to walk and to please God, so youp would abound more and more.   beg

For youp know what commandments we gave youp by the Lord Jesus.   instructions

For this is the will of God, even yourp sanctification, that youp should abstain from fornication:

That every one of youp should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;   control his body

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:   passion; heathens, those who do not worship God

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned youp and testified.   confirmed

For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

He therefore that despises, despises not man, but God, who has also given to us His Holy Spirit.   rejects, disregards

A Brotherly and Orderly Life

But as touching brotherly love youp need not that I write to youp: for youp yourselvesp are taught of God to love one another.   concerning

And indeed youp do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech youp, brethren, that youp increase more and more;

And that youp study to be quiet, and to do yourp own business, and to work with yourp own hands, as we commanded youp;   try; instructed

That youp may walk honestly toward them that are outside, and that youp may have lack of nothing.   all you need

The Comfort of Christ’s Coming

But I would not have youp to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that youp sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   unaware; dead

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   die

For this we say to youp by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.   precede

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.   encourage
