Interwoven Gospels Now as they were going on the way, a certain one, a scribe, came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest." And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head." And He said to another of the disciples, "Follow Me." But he said to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father." Then Jesus said to him, "Follow Me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead; but go thou and preach the kingdom of God." And another also said, "I will follow Thee, Lord; but first permit me to bid farewell to those in my house." But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand on a plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Adapted from The Interwoven Gospels © Books for Living, Inc. Digital Edition by V.
