Interwoven Gospels Now the feast of unleavened bread, called the Passover, was drawing near; and it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, He said to His disciples, "Ye know that after two days the Passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified." Then the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas; and they consulted together and sought how they might take Jesus by stratagem; and put Him to death. But they said, "Not during the feast, lest a tumult should arise among the people." Adapted from The Interwoven Gospels © Books for Living, Inc. Digital Edition by V.
