Interwoven Gospels Now when Herod saw Jesus, he rejoiced greatly; for he had often wished to see Him, because he had heard about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. And he asked Him many questions, but He answered him nothing. Now the chief priests and the scribes stood accusing Him vehemently. Then Herod with his guards set Him at naught; and having mocked Him and put on Him a gorgeous robe, he sent Him back to Pilate. Now Herod and Pilate became friends with each other on that very day; for before they were at enmity between themselves. Adapted from The Interwoven Gospels © Books for Living, Inc.
