Wisdom 16:1
Good News Translation
And so it was appropriate that these people were punished by such creatures--tormented by swarms of them.

Therefore those people were deservedly punished through such creatures, and were tormented by a multitude of animals.

You were right to punish the Egyptians by sending snakes to attack those worshipers of snakes.
