Wisdom 11:14
Good News Translation
The Egyptians had refused to have anything to do with that man who, long before as a baby, had been thrown out and exposed; but as things worked out, they came to be amazed at him. The righteous never suffered a thirst like theirs.

New Revised Standard Version
For though they had mockingly rejected him who long before had been cast out and exposed, at the end of the events they marveled at him, when they felt thirst in a different way from the righteous.

Contemporary English Version
Earlier they had made fun of Moses, who had been placed outside to die when he was a baby, but now they were amazed at him, because they suffered from thirst much more severely than your people.
