Wisdom 10:8
Good News Translation
The people of those cities ignored Wisdom and could not tell right from wrong. Not only that, but the remains of their cities still remind us of the foolish way they lived, so that their failure can never be forgotten.

New Revised Standard Version
For because they passed wisdom by, they not only were hindered from recognizing the good, but also left for humankind a reminder of their folly, so that their failures could never go unnoticed.

Contemporary English Version
By rejecting Wisdom, these people became blind to what was right, and so they left a permanent witness to their foolishness.

New American Bible
For those who forsook Wisdom not only were deprived of knowledge of the good, But also left the world a memorial of their folly, so that they could not even be hidden in their fall.

Douay-Rheims Bible
For regarding not wisdom, they did not only slip in this, that they were ignorant of good things; but they left also unto men a memorial of their folly, so that in the things in which they sinned, they could not so much as lie hid.
