Good News Translation
Never abandon old friends; you will never find a new one who can take their place. Friendship is like wine; it gets better as it grows older.

New Revised Standard Version
Do not abandon old friends, for new ones cannot equal them. A new friend is like new wine; when it has aged, you can drink it with pleasure.

Contemporary English Version
Don't desert old friends-- like bottles of aged wine, they bring cheer more than new ones.

New American Bible
