Sirach 49:7
Good News Translation
Jeremiah had been badly treated, even though he was chosen as a prophet before he was born, "to uproot and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow," but also "to build and to plant."

For they had mistreated him, who even in the womb had been consecrated a prophet, to pluck up and ruin and destroy, and likewise to build and to plant.

He had been chosen as a prophet before his birth and was later told to speak of doom and destruction, of rising and rebuilding. But the evil kings of Judah mistreated him.
