Sirach 48:18
Good News Translation
During his reign Sennacherib attacked the city and sent his chief official from Lachish. He challenged Jerusalem and boasted arrogantly.

In his days Sennacherib invaded the country; he sent his commander and departed; he shook his fist against Zion, and made great boasts in his arrogance.

Contemporary English Version
During Hezekiah's rule, Sennacherib attacked Judah, and before he left, he sent his highest officer to Jerusalem. This arrogant officer boasted, making threats against Zion.

During his reign Sennacherib led an invasion and sent his adjutant; He shook his fist at Zion and blasphemed God in his pride.
